Altrex Mobile Safety® provides QR codes on products; these codes link to instructions for use, manual and videos for safe use.

Using a Smartphone, the QR code gives immediate digital access to the video and/or instructions for use and assembly instructions of the products. As increasing numbers of users have Smartphones, this innovation means a significant increase in safety for users.

Various products have already been provided with a Mobile Safety® QR code. In phases, more products will be provided with these codes. The rolling tower and folding tower platforms and the longitudinal carriers of the Modular Suspended Platform system already have QR codes. This also applies to, for example, the telescopic ladders and the Double Decker household stepladder.

After scanning the QR code using a Smartphone, the manual/ instructions for use are immediately available. Of course, a paper booklet with instructions for safe use is also supplied with the products.

What is a QR code and how does it work?

The QR code is a two-dimensional barcode that refers back to a URL. QR is an abbreviation for Quick Response. The user points his smartphone at the QR code and scans it. A QR reader in the phone then converts this into a URL and the telephone’s web browser shows the corresponding website.
